Get list of queue on which a user can qsub

Recommended Posts

Hi Roberto,

I am assuming that ACLs are used to restrict the users from queues.

Have you examined the output of qstat -Qf?

Below is a simple example that I believe will be similar to your setup. Please correct if I am wrong. Perhaps sharing some of the details of the queue configurations would be helpful.

The work is open to everyone. However, user_q is restricted to scott@*

> qstat -Qf

Queue: workq

queue_type = Execution

total_jobs = 0

state_count = Transit:0 Queued:0 Held:0 Waiting:0 Running:0 Exiting:0 Begun

:0

resources_assigned.ncpus = 0

resources_assigned.nodect = 0

enabled = True

started = True

Queue: user_q

queue_type = Execution

total_jobs = 0

state_count = Transit:0 Queued:0 Held:0 Waiting:0 Running:0 Exiting:0 Begun

:0

acl_users = scott@*

enabled = True

started = True

If I wanted to focus on specific attributes of the queue, I commonly use the following command

> qstat -Qf | grep -e '^[[:alnum:]]' -e acl_users

Queue: work

Queue: scott

acl_users = scott@*

Am I describing the situation as you would see it at your site?

Scott
